Microsoft Internet Explorer Expert Advice
Some
Internet Explorer installations include branding, i.e., the
Internet Explorer title bar ends like
Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by Some Provider instead of simply
Microsoft Internet Explorer , and the title logo at the top right might be different from the default
Microsoft Internet Explorer title logo. Such installations might origin from
Internet Explorer setups provided by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and/or computer magazines. To remove the
Internet Explorer branding, simply remove the folder named
Signup from the
Internet Explorers programs directory (usually
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer ), and restart your PC.
Sometimes, the
Internet Explorers Window Title is also modified through the following Registry key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
Use the
Registry-Editor to make sure that the value for
Window Title is set to
Microsoft Internet Explorer .
Warning
The
Registry-Editor (regedit.exe ) can be used to add Windows registry entries. However, erroneous registry entries can cause serious problems. You should ask your system administrator or a more experienced user for assistance if you aren't familiar with the
Registry Editor.
